Thermowell-type bimetallic thermometer is a medium and low-temperature measuring instrument with an independent protective thermowell. It is specially designed for harsh working conditions such as high temperature, high pressure and corrosiveness.
A complete thermowell bimetallic thermometer consists of three parts:
It is the pointer-type or digital display head we introduced earlier.
Used to firmly install the thermometer head on the thermowell, usually with an adjustable angle device to facilitate adjusting the dial to the best viewing direction. Common interface threads include M27*2, G1/2, etc.
Assembly method: Insert and fix the sensing tube (probe) of the bimetallic thermometer into the thermowell already installed on the equipment, ensuring good contact between the end of the sensing tube and the bottom of the thermowell to ensure the best thermal conductivity and response speed.
Insertion length of heat sleeve: 50 to 1500mm (customizable), insertion depth should be ≥ 10 times the diameter of the sleeve and exceed the centerline of the pipe.
Environmental adaptability: Operating environment temperature -20℃ to 60℃, relative humidity ≤ 90%, vibration resistance level ≤ 2.5g.
The heat sleeve type bimetallic thermometer is the "heavily armored force" in industrial temperature measurement. By sacrificing a bit of response speed, it gains unparalleled safety, maintainability and environmental adaptability. In those critical measurement points where medium leakage is not allowed, frequent calibration of the instrument is required or the working conditions are extremely harsh, using a heat sleeve is not an option but a safety regulation and best practice that must be followed. It represents the ultimate pursuit of safety and reliability in industrial measurement.
