Dry-Type Anti-Freezing And Anti-Fogging Rotary-Wing Digital Water Meter For Tap Water, 1/2 Inch And 3/4 Inch, DN15 And DN20

A dry-type water meter refers to a water meter where the counter (dial) does not come into contact with the water being measured. Its transmission mechanism and counting gears are completely sealed in an independent dry chamber, and the movement of the water flow is transmitted to the counter through the magnetic steel coupling transmission method.

The core feature is that "water flows along its own path and characters follow theirs", with the two being completely isolated.

Advantages:
  • Clear and lasting reading: The counter is not affected by impurities, bubbles or scale in water and remains clear and legible all the time. It will not become blurred due to water mist or contamination.
  • Relatively good anti-freezing performance: As there is no water in the counting chamber, it is less likely to be damaged by ice expansion at short-term low temperatures (but the casing and pipes still need to be protected from freezing).
  • High sensitivity: The magnetic drive has very little resistance and can respond more sensitively to small flow rates.
  • Suitable for smart meters: The dry structure makes it easy to install signal transmission sensors (such as photoelectric or Hall elements) on the counter gears, converting mechanical rotation into electrical signals and thus easily upgrading to remote transmission water meters or prepaid water meters.
  • Long service life: The gear system operates in a dry and clean environment, resulting in less wear and longer maintenance of accuracy.
