Product Description
Integrated Temperature Transmitter With Excellent Anti-Interference Performance
An integrated temperature transmitter refers to a temperature measurement instrument that integrates a temperature sensor (temperature measurement element) and a signal transmitter (transmission module) into an inseparable whole in structure.
- Easy installation and low cost: It saves installation costs and labor hours. Unlike the "split type" (sensor + remote transmitter), there is no need to lay expensive compensating wires (for thermocouples) or three-wire copper wires (for thermal resistors) on site, and complete complex wiring and debugging.
- Strong anti-interference ability: The signal is converted into a robust 4-20mA standard signal near the measurement point. It avoids the problem that the weak analog signal output by the sensor (mV-level signal for thermocouples, Ω-level change for thermal resistors) is easily affected by electromagnetic interference and line resistance during long-distance transmission.
- High reliability: It reduces intermediate connection links and wiring terminals. In harsh industrial environments, fewer connection points mean a lower failure rate (such as poor contact, moisture, corrosion).
- Convenient maintenance: When there is a fault, the entire unit can be disassembled, replaced or sent for inspection. The maintenance process is simple, and there is no need to separately determine whether the problem lies with the sensor or the transmitter.
- Good economy: The total life cycle cost from procurement, installation, wiring to long-term maintenance is usually lower than that of the split type solution.
- Temperature measurement of industrial pipelines and equipment: pipelines, reactors, storage tanks, and heat exchangers in the petroleum, chemical, power, and pharmaceutical industries.
- HVAC and energy management: supply and return water temperatures of central air conditioning systems, inlet and outlet water temperatures and steam temperatures of boilers.
- Monitoring the status of mechanical equipment: motor bearings, oil temperatures of gearboxes, and exhaust temperatures of compressors.
- Food and pharmaceutical hygiene processes: tanks and pipelines that require CIP (Cleaning In Place).
| Characteristics | Integrated Temperature Transmitter | Split Temperature Transmitter |
|---|---|---|
| Structure | The sensor and transmitter are integrated into one unit. | The sensor (thermocouple / thermal resistor) and transmitter are separated and connected through compensating wires / wires. |
| Installation | Simple, directly installed at the measurement point and connected to the power line. | Complex, the sensor and transmitter (usually in the control cabinet) need to be installed separately, and connection wires need to be laid. |
| Signal Quality | Excellent, signal is converted locally, resistant to interference. | Poor, weak signal is transmitted over long distances, prone to interference. |
| Maintenance | Convenient, can be replaced as a whole. | Complicated, faults need to be located section by section. |
| Cost | Lower overall cost (saves on wires, installation, and maintenance costs). | Lower equipment cost, but higher overall cost. |
| Applicability | The default preferred choice for the vast majority of industrial applications. | Special cases:
|
The integrated temperature transmitter, through the ingenious design of "sensing and transmitting" in one, fundamentally solves the classic problems in industrial temperature measurement such as signal susceptibility to interference, complex installation and maintenance, and low system reliability. With its high reliability, excellent anti-interference performance, convenient installation and maintenance, and good economy, it has become the standardized and mainstream solution for temperature measurement in the industrial field.
