Diaphragm gas meter is a type of flowmeter that uses the reciprocating motion of a flexible diaphragm (membrane) to separate gas into fixed-volume "measuring chambers", and accumulates the number of cycles through a mechanical linkage mechanism to measure the cumulative volume of gas.
