Permanent Pressure Loss Minimal Average Velocity Tube Flowmeter
The permanent pressure loss of the constant velocity tube flowmeter is extremely small. By using a detection rod (constant velocity tube) inserted transversely into the pipeline, the fluid pressure at multiple points on the cross-section of the pipeline is measured simultaneously, thereby obtaining the average flow velocity of that cross-section and subsequently calculating the flow rate.
- Minimal Permanent Pressure Loss (Energy Saving King): This is its most prominent feature. Due to the small cross-section of the detection rod, it offers minimal resistance to the fluid, resulting in a permanent pressure loss of only 2% to 5% of the differential pressure value, which is far lower than the 40% to 80% of orifice plates. The long-term energy-saving effect is significant.
- Easy Installation: Only a hole needs to be drilled in the pipe, and then it can be inserted for welding or flange connection. No pipe cutting is required, making it particularly suitable for the installation and renovation of large-diameter pipes (DN200 and above) at a very low cost.
- Robust Structure, Maintenance-Free: With no moving parts and a streamlined design, it is less prone to fouling and clogging (compared to orifice plates), ensuring high reliability.
- Wide Rangeability: Typically, it can reach 10:1, which is superior to the 3:1 of orifice plates, making it suitable for applications with significant flow variations.
- Wide Applicability: It can measure gases, liquids, and steam, and is especially suitable for large air volumes, large pipe diameters, and low-pressure gases (such as flue gas, air conditioning supply air).
