The permanent pressure loss of the constant velocity tube flowmeter is extremely small. By using a detection rod (constant velocity tube) inserted transversely into the pipeline, the fluid pressure at multiple points on the cross-section of the pipeline is measured simultaneously, thereby obtaining the average flow velocity of that cross-section and subsequently calculating the flow rate.
