In Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, the main DN600 water supply pipeline experiences winter temperatures as low as −20°C. Valve chambers often accumulate water, and pressure fluctuations are severe. Conventional transmitters corroded and drifted within three months, previously causing pipeline bursts with losses exceeding 150,000 RMB.
