The oval gear flowmeter (also known as the displacement flowmeter or gear flowmeter) is a type of volumetric flowmeter. It measures flow by mechanically dividing the fluid into individual known volume segments and counting the number of times this volume is repeatedly filled and discharged.
The elliptical gear flowmeter is particularly suitable for the measurement of oil and fuel products. It can be used for petroleum diesel, resin asphalt, viscous media, and high-temperature liquids. It is widely applicable in various working conditions and is extensively used in the petroleum industry, pharmaceutical industry, chemical industry, chemical fiber industry, food and beverage industry, and oil product industry.

- Compact structure: The oval gear flowmeter consists of a flow transmitter and a counting mechanism. The transmitter is composed of the metering chamber of the oval gear rotor and the sealed coupling. The counting mechanism includes a reduction mechanism, a regulating mechanism, a counter, a transmitter, etc.
- Precise control: It displays the cumulative flow of liquid. With an additional transmitting device and an electrical display instrument, it can achieve remote centralized control of cumulative, quantitative and instantaneous flow.
- Strong performance: It has many advantages such as a wide range, high accuracy, low pressure loss, strong viscosity adaptability, convenient calibration for high-temperature and high-viscosity liquids, and easy installation.
- Diverse materials: The material of the oval gear can be selected from cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, etc. Cast iron is suitable for non-corrosive liquids, cast steel for low-corrosive liquids, and stainless steel for highly corrosive liquids.
