High-Precision And Micro-Flow Capacity Reciprocating Piston Flowmeter
The reciprocating piston flowmeter is a device that accurately sucks in, isolates and discharges the fluid by the reciprocating motion of the piston in the precise cylinder barrel, and measures the volume or flow rate of the fluid by measuring the displacement times or speed of the piston.
- Extremely high precision: In calibration mode, the precision is the highest among all flowmeter principles because it is based on physical benchmarks of length and area.
- Infinite resolution: The displacement of the piston can be continuously measured, and theoretically, it can respond to even the slightest volume changes.
- Suitable for highly viscous fluids and very low flow rates: The thrust of the piston can overcome the resistance of high viscosity; as a flowmeter, it can measure extremely low flow rates down to ml/min or even μl/min, making it an ideal choice for micro flowmeters.
- Insensitive to fluid properties: The principle is only related to volume and is minimally affected by viscosity, density, conductivity, etc. (mainly considering leakage).
